KiKK is a learning app for school students: quizzes, class games and homework. It is run by KnoW Infoverse ("we", "us"). This page explains what information KiKK collects, why, who can see it, and how you can delete it. We have written it in simple words so parents and children can follow it.
In short
KiKK is made for school children, their parents and their teachers. Children under 18 should use KiKK with the knowledge and permission of a parent, guardian or their school. A parent or guardian can ask us to see, correct or delete a child's information at any time (see section 9).
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Account | Student name, parent/guardian name, class, school board, district, mobile number, and a 6-digit PIN. Students can also choose to add their school name and date of birth in Settings (optional). The PIN is held by Google Firebase Authentication in protected form; we cannot read it and it is not saved in our database. |
| Learning activity | Quiz answers, scores, time taken, progress and points, and the student's place on leaderboards (first name + initial, class, score and time). |
| Homework | What the student chooses to send: photos of notebook pages, a voice recording, or a typed note. Also the teacher's marks, grade, written feedback, and pen or typed corrections drawn on the photos. |
| Guest quizzes | When a teacher shares a quiz link, a guest types a name and we keep the name, answers and score for that quiz. No account is created. |
| Classroom quizzes | When a teacher runs a quiz on a smart board, the results are saved for the class using names from the school's class list. |
| Teachers | Name, mobile number or email, school and the classes they teach. |
| Technical | Like any online service, our providers receive standard technical data (such as IP address and device type) when the app connects. KiKK does not collect location, contacts, or an advertising ID. |
| On the device | The app remembers the login, theme and which notices were read, using storage on the phone itself. |
We do not use children's information for advertising, profiling or marketing, and we do not sell it.
We keep information while the account is in use. When you delete your account, your profile, sign-in and leaderboard places are removed immediately, and your quiz results, homework photos, voice notes and teacher corrections are removed within 30 days. Results from games a teacher played together in class may stay in the school's class records, without your mobile number. Deleted data may remain in routine system backups for a short time before it is overwritten.
Data travels over secure (HTTPS) connections. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, and the database is set up so each student can open only their own account. Homework photos and voice notes are stored in private cloud storage and are shown only to the student, their teachers and administrators. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
We collect only the minimum a child needs to use KiKK. There are no ads, no chat, no public profiles and no way for strangers to contact a child through the app. If you believe a child has given us information without a parent's permission, please contact us and we will delete it.
We aim to handle personal data in line with applicable Indian data protection law.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For big changes we will also show a notice in the app.
